Timberheading

There are circumstances in which a timber heading is the only form of construction possible.  With many potential Health and Safety issues, our clients can have confidence that Terra Solutions has extensive experience in the construction of timber headings.  Terra offer a standard design for most headings.  The construction can be conventional frames and boards or can be adapted for continuous framing, forming a box heading.  Ground conditions together with the length of the heading and the nature of the launch pit will dictate the type of heading construction chosen.  Terra Solutions can provide design calculations from independent consulting engineers together with full Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH assessments and Hand Arm Vibration calculations, enabling clients to fulfil their requirements under current Health and Safety legislation.
