Our experience with all types of trenchless construction gives our employees at all levels a broad depth of knowledge.  Therefore our managers are able to plan works effectively, anticipating the issues relevant to the methods employed.

Microtunnelling

Terra Solutions Ltd carries out microtunnelling projects using its own fleet of Herrenknecht machinery.  These versatile TBM’s are capable of installing pipelines to a high degree of accuracy within the most challenging of ground conditions.

Pipe jacking

Our fleet of modern pipe jacking machinery may be used for installing pre-cast concrete, GRP or steel pipes in a wide range of diameters.  Terra Solutions’ own back-up equipment complements the range of TBM’s, enabling a full service to be offered from in-house.

Directional Drilling

Terra Solutions Ltd has a long history of carrying out Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) works.  We also have a sister company based at our Head Office which supplies HDD rigs, tooling and drilling muds to the industry.  Our technical expertise in this area also extends to the design and manufacture of bespoke drilling fluids.

Auger Boring

Guided Auger Boring (GBR) is a development of the conventional Auger Boring technique.  With GBR Terra Solutions has installed small diameter gravity sewers to a high degree of accuracy with the minimum of disruption.

Shaft Construction

All types of trenchless construction need some kind of shaft at each end.  Our experience includes the construction of bolted segmental shafts both by underpinning and by caisson sinking, the use of pre-cast concrete caisson rings, conventionally excavated shafts using trench sheets or pre-driven sheet piles.  We own and operate 360 degree excavators fitted with long reach hydraulic grabs.

Timber Heading

Our ability to construct timber headings to current safety legislation enables us to offer bespoke solutions to difficult underground problems.
